Aston Martin V12 Zagato set for Kuwait debut

Luxury British automotive brand Aston Martin is to unveil the first production model of its V12 Zagato in Kuwait next month.
The V12 Zagato first premiered at the Villa D’Este Concours in May last year, but has until now only been seen in race specification whizzing around the Nürburgring.
The production version intended for customers will be seen for the first time at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance, which runs February 15-18.
The first deliveries of the £330,000 model are expected later this year, although would-be buyers will need to be quick as only 150 specimens of the Zagato will be hand-built by Aston Martin.
The model, based on the V12 Vantage, features a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 510 bhp (380 kW) and a aluminum and carbon-fiber body with a bespoke interior.
Italian design house Zagato has refreshed the Vantage’s look to produce a sleek new, widely-praised exterior which appears to account for much of the astronomical price tag and celebrates 50 years of partnership between the two firms.

Britain’s biggest restaurant opens in Bristol

BRITAIN'S biggest restaurant threw opened its doors  — serving up to a staggering 2,100 diners a night.
Za Za Bazaar, an all-you-can-eat buffet in Bristol, hopes to dish up more than a TON of rice and nearly 5,000 chickens every week.
The 30,000 sq/ft harbourside eatery can seat more than 1,000 customers at a time, with two sittings per night.
But the 120 staff will have their work cut out — with a whopping 8,000 dirty dishes to wash on a busy Saturday night.
The restaurant is the first of a new nationwide chain of eight Za Za Bazaars, the owners of which hope to create 1,000 new jobs over the next 18 months.
The eatery has been styled to look like the street markets of the Far East, but it serves food from all four corners of the globe.
And a team of 36 chefs and eight porters serve up everything from Chinese, Indian and Tex-Mex to piri piri chicken, pasta, pizza and traditional British food.
There is also salad, sushi and deli sections, an entire stand devoted to desserts, and a bar serving 300 different drinks from five continents.
The project is the brainchild of Nitin Bhatnagar, a renowned international chef who learnt his trade at the famous Taj Mahal restaurant in Mumbai.

Chicken antique !

recipe for chicken curry has been found in a British cookbook - dated 1796.
Chefs say the instructions by an early "Delia Smith" make a dish that today's tikka masala fans will love.
Great-gran Sylvia Sibley, 73, found the book in an old kitchen drawer when she was clearing her late mother's home.
Cook Hannah Glasse explained how to make curry "the Indian way".
The book is a later edition of Hannah's 1747 book The Art of Cookery Made Plain and Easy. She wrote it when George II was King and the last beheading took place at London's Tower Hill. There is also a recipe for curried rabbit, veal or mutton and tips on making antidotes to rabies or the plague

Louis Vuitton Now Makes Honey

The most exclusive honey in Paris comes from Louis Vuitton's roof...
In April 2009, Louis Vuitton installed a trio of beehives on the roof of its Parisian headquarters. According to French beekeepers’ association Unaf, urban bees' productivity can be up to four times higher than that of rural bees, and sure enough, 200,000 bees moved into Vuitton’s rooftop hives and got to work.
Two years later, the buzzy guests had gathered 75kg of nectar and produced enough honey that Vuitton decided to bottle the fruits of its apiculture. The result is packed into a glass jar that would fit right in at any of Paris’s popular marchés biologique, but for the subtle Vuitton branding below the ‘La Belle Jardiniere’ label.
Not that you should expect to find a bottle at Melrose & Morgan anytime soon—La Belle Jardiniere will be distributed as a gift to friends of Vuitton. Which surely makes it all the sweeter to receive.

Airbus unveils transparent airplane!!

Through innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking, Airbus will continue to meet its eco-efficiency goals, and ensure that air travel continues to be one of the safest, and most eco-efficient, means of transportation.
As the air transport sector continues to grow, Airbus believes that the industry as a whole must concentrate on technological advances, while also advancing solutions that will meet passenger and market demands, the growing population and its demographic profile, and respect all aspects of the environment.
After celebrating its own four decades of innovation, Airbus now is looking to the next 40-plus years – actively working with other industry stakeholders and experts to anticipate the global needs of a better-connected and more sustainable world.
However, it all begins with one question: “what will air transport look like in the year 2050?” In its report “The Future by Airbus,” Airbus hypothesises how the industry, aircraft and passengers might change by that time – while highlighting potential steps to meet the needs of tomorrow.

Sheikh Zayed's Tower at Johns Hopkins Hospital

It will support heart research at Hopkins and an AIDS research program. Mostly, the contribution will help finance a billion-dollar project now in its giant-hole-in the-ground stage. Two 12-story clinical towers will replace half of what is now Hopkins Hospital by 2010.

One tower, a 355-bed facility, will be named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the donor's late father, from whom he has said he learned "the need for patience and prudence in all things."
